I just recently converted my computer to a Hackintosh (after a few hiccups and learning my ways around the Hackintosh, totally loving it), but the only downer is my sound card isn't compatible. I tried using the Voodoo HDA and a few other methods, but after a good amount of research--no dice. It's like a Creative X-Fi Extreme music or something (I've had this card for like almost 7 years now), and while it's been faithful in Windows, it seems like it's time for an upgrade!

Now, while I've been able to deal with onboard sound for the past few days, I can definitely notice a difference, and am itching to get back to a dedicated sound card. Any options out there in the $20-$50 range? I saw some suggestions on other boards about those cheap little USB ones, but I kinda want something slightly better...although, now that I think of it, in my price range, there may not be a huge difference.

Regardless, I would much appreciate it anyone could give me some guidance. Thanks guys!
