I've just finished installing Mavericks on my machine, specs as follows:
Gigabyte H87-HD3
Intel Core i5-4430 3.0Ghz
8GB DDR3
GTX 760 2GB
128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
1TB WD Blue
Really smooth installation process to be honest, used UniBeast then Multibeast - only outstanding hardware issue is Audio which I need to spend some proper time looking into.
Any recommendations around storage? Reason I ask, the 1TB drive is currently formatted as NTFS so I can read (Plex is already using this quite happily) and I believe I can set to write fairly easily. I'm assuming formatting with a Mac-native file system would be most sensible. Any suggestions? I'm looking to add a new 2TB drive within the next week or so (not in RAID) if that alters things at all?
Any other particular recommendations I should be looking to consider at all?
