So my $1300 hack pro has just recovered from a mystery illness. It just broke, audio wouldn't work and it wouldn't boot without -x (safe mode). It was some weird error with the AVF control and quicktime. I just clean installed and restored my backups; everything works fine.

This is just the price of a hack. They ALL inevitably have this kind of trouble.

To everyone considering a hack for their next or current machine, I say go for it. OSX is a great, but learn about stuff. Don't just unibeast and multibeast. You should learn the basic terminal commands (they will save you), and the actual process of installation. When something goes wrong (when not if), you will be way better off knowing how to fix it.

Don't just read Tonymac. Read Macbreaker, RampageDev, Insanelymac and this subreddit.
