I'm looking for advice regarding going for LGA 1150 vs 1155 platform as the price difference doesn't look significant. More SATA 6 GB/s port seems to be the benefit. Is LGA 1150 likely to be used again for future intel CPUs? Liquid cooling was recommended for the case, no plans to overclock. Any other comments welcome. I'm choosing Gigabyte as a motherboard since this will be a hackintosh build (no dsdt edits) but I plan to dual boot Windows 7. Use will be for light photoshop, office work on mac side and gaming on PC side (most modern games playable max settings). Goal is portability (moving to different apartments, not to/from a coffee shop) as this will replace an almost decade old 17 inch macbook pro. Here are the two possible builds.
