Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could take a look at my Win7 box specs and tell me if it looks like a good candidate for a OS switch... I'd like to able to run Logic Pro X at home, when I'm not in studio, I think it needs Mountain Lion as a minimum but I would like to spring for Mavericks. I'm also running Adobe Creative cloud, for video, graphic design and web work. I've look at the TonyMac site before about this, but I was hoping to run my comp's specs by someone first... Here's what I got:
- Intel Core i7 950 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 3.06GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S
- ASUS P6X58D-E X58 ATX LGA1366 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1 2PCI CrossFire SLI USB3.0 SATA 6GB/S Motherboard
- 12gb Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9 6GB DDR3 6X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory Kit
- ASUS Radeon HD 6850 DirectCU 790MHZ 1GB 4.0GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI DisplayPort HDMI PCI-E Video Card
- Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower Gamer Case 900 ATX 9 Drive Bay No PS TOP USB2.0 1394 Audio
- Corsair TX750 V2 750W ATX 12V Single Rail 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 80PLUS Bronze
- Western Digital WD10EARS Caviar Green 1TB SATA 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM
- ASUS DRW-24B3LT 24X SATA DVD Writer OEM Lightscribe Black
- 1 x Steelseries Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard W/ Dedicated Gaming Terrain USB
- 1 x Steelseries Xai Laser 8 Button Gaming Mouse USB
I'm also running dual monitors, but our studio Mac Pro does too, so I'm guessing this wouldn't be an issue. I do have a Macbook Air with a thumb drive for a Snow Leopard install. Thanks for any help you can give
