I'm right in the middle of my Hackintosh install, but need some guidance. I've installed 10.9 using Unibeast and I was able to reboot it simply using the "-x" safemode option. Now I'm trying to run Multibeast and I'm really unsure of how to proceed. Because my machine is so old, there isn't really much documentation on using 10.9, so please forgive my ignorance. I'm looking for some general guidance on what I should be doing on each section of Multibeast (Quick Start, Drivers, etc.)

Assume my skill level is medium, I'm familar with terminal and use either Linux or Cygwin on a daily basis. That being said, I'm limited on how the overall Hackintosh process works, the word kext still eludes me.

Backstory: I built my machine 3 years ago, put Hackintosh on it once, but decided I didn't need it because I my Macbook Pro met all my current requirements. From there on out I used the machine for gaming and work until now. I've been editing video on my old Macbook Pro (2007) and its just not fast enough anymore. So I'm back to the Hackintosh, here's my build:

Motherbord: ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 (Bios 3203)

CPU: Intel i7-2500K

RAM: 2x4GB 1600 DDR3

SSD: 64GB Crucial

Eventually I would like to dual boot, but for now I'm just installing this on my SSD and disconnecting my Win7 HDD. I'll work the dual boot setup once fully understand the Hackintosh process.
