I stupidly didn't pay attention to what the suggested optical drives are when doing my build and got something cheap. I got the ASUS DRW-24B1ST, which I can't seem to get to work. I have seen a few people use it successfully but for me it causes disk utility to beach all and stay as not responding. It only cost me $17, so not a huge deal at least.
So anyway now I think I'd rather just go for an external DVD burner instead since I could use that with my retina MacBook pro as well since I do have instances here and there where I still need to burn DVDs. I seem to only see people mention internal drives, though, so does anyone know of any good inexpensive external ones that work with hackintosh?
