I want to install OS X Mountain Lion on my PC as well.

Custom built PC so I want 3 OSes on here (Windows 8, Ubuntu 13.04, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2)

I have 16GB RAM, Intel i7 (third generation) processor clocked at 3.8GHz, and NVidia GeForce GTX 680. I have an ASUS Motherboard with WiFi and Bluetooth built in.

I built this PC with the eventual goal of making it a Windows-UbuntuLinux-Hackintosh so I'm sure my setup will work. I'm devoting a 500GB HDD I ripped out of an old laptop to OS X, but I'm afraid that if I do all of this it won't work very well.

Should I buy an SSD for OS X? I'd get a smaller one, like 128GB for 100$, but I'm sure an HDD is fine. I have W8 and Ubuntu on seperate HDDs, so I know how to install it on one and not the other. I've read through the guide, but is there anything I should be wary about? I don't want to go through what I went through installing Ubuntu (I accidentally formatted my SSD...twice...).
