Hi Folks,
It's been a while since I've posted here, my machine had been running perfectly since I last posted in 2012, this is not the case since I've updated to Mavericks.
Well before I updated I had symlinked my Downloads and Dropbox folder from my SSD to my other HDD, before I updated I partitoned the HDD to make a temporary backup drive, which I then used Carbon Copy Cloner to backup the SSD.
I updated to Mavericks using Unibeast, then I installed the necessary stuff I needed from Multibeast.
I rebooted into my account and in my home folder I was presented with white square icons with black arrows for where the symlinks should be.
I tried relinking using terminal but every time I tried to "sudo" it would ask for my password and then tell me "permission denied" for whatever command I used.
I then tried repairing my permissions using Onyx but that didn't work either.
I also tried using tips from these articles but again it didn't help - http://instantaneousinstances.com/20...s-x-lion-10-7/ and http://ilyabirman.net/meanwhile/all/fix-sudo-on-a-mac/
I had a search on the forum here but I couldn't dig anything up, so if anyone has any ideas it'd much appreciated, thanks!
