So I'm running:
A toshiba satellite L740 with an i3250M processor with HD3000 graphics.
I downloaded the Niresh ML DVD and installed everything and all is working smoothly except that the audio is all wonky. Music plays fine for a few moments but then starts to crackle and deteriorate to clipping static and finally silence.
It seems as though the audio starts to mess up when I put the CPU under load and the clock speed changes. Switching between sample rates in Audio/Midi Settings fixes this but it isn't practical to switch between modes constantly. I have enabled SSE2 in the VoodooHDA prefpane, muted the mics, and added the forceHPET tag to the chameleon plist.
So I assume that the way to go forward is to lock the CPU at a single speed. Is this possible? I don't quite mind using a lot of battery since I'm generally plugged in ad connected to an external monitor anyways.
Thanks for any help.
