Hi guys! I found an old 250gb hard drive laying around my room, and just because I'm curious, I want to try to make a Hackintosh with it. I haven't done this before so I know I'm going to sound like a huge amateur, so sorry in advance if I ask any stupid questions. Here's my system specs:

  • Intel Core i5 2400 3.1GHz LGA 1155

  • ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 (BIOS version 1.2)

  • Seagate Barracuda 250gb SATA II

  • nVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1gb

  • Realtek HD Audio

  • Realtek gigabit LAN

I read on the Tonymacx86 forums that ASRock Z68 boards don't support power management, and that I'll have to either use nullcpupowermanagement, a patched appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext or a modified BIOS. Will using the modded bios affect my Windows install in any way? If so, which of the other two would be my best option? Thanks!
