I install Mavericks (10.9.4) without a problem using UniBeast. Right off the bat, I notice that compared to previous times (on earlier versions), I have to manually boot from my installation USB, then select my Mac volume, when previously it would just immediately boot into the volume. Other than that, everything's fine except my audio kext....is nonexistent. I go download MultiBeast to install the ALC892 driver, when it gives me the following error.
There is no '/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist' file on the target volume. Either place one there or select 'Customize > Basic Boot Options' to continue.
I do exactly what it says, and when I reboot, I can't load OS X. It gives me an error message talking about a kernel backtrace error with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. I've tried multiple different things, and I've slowly found out that no matter what I do, these problems happen when I either use MultiBeast, or manually make the /Extra/ folder and put in a simplistic Chameleon boot.plist file. I can reboot/load OS X just fine if I don't do anything and leave it as is...but obviously I need working audio.
At first I thought maybe this had something to do with a boot loader config, so I tried manually adding the .plist file in, and when I went to install the ALC892 drivers, this is the message I got.
*There is no '/Extra/modules/HDAEnabler.dylib', '/Extra/DSDT.aml', or '/Extra/SSDT.aml' file on the target volume. Either place one there, select 'Bootloaders > Chimera v3.0.1', or if you are using an EFI installed bootloader check 'Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Optional EFI Installed Bootloader Support' to continue.
TL;DR - Mavericks (10.9.4) "breaks" whenever I use MultiBeast, or manually try to add boot configurations for Chameleon. This has never happened before on my otherwise 'perfect' setup, and the problem seems to lie within a kernel backtrace error with **AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext.
