Hi

About a week ago I noticed my Mavericks Hackintosh was taking about 45 seconds to shutdown but it used to take around 5-10 seconds previously. I've found a guide to potentially 'fix' the problem but unsure whether I should do one of the two fixes because it involves clearing the kext cache. My understanding is that kext's are pretty important and were beneficial to getting my system working correctly so I'm just wondered if clearing the kext cache would be a bad move? Here's a link to the guide in question.

Thanks
