and ended up fucking big time.

I've been doing Hackintosh with tonymacx86 methods for the past... 2 years.

I tried messing with myHack, got it to boot and install and got ethernet working and nothing else. I had nowhere to go and nowhere to find out anything. Joining IRC's were all nearly inactive and responses came in once every 30 minutes. My motivation for this was wanting a more vanilla system, from what I've heard and see tonymacx86 installs a lot of unnecessary kexts to account for inexperienced users. I gave in after a full day of just trying to get things running and it was very frustrating. I gave in and booted my Unibeast and everything was working right out of the box.

Has anybody else been in a similar situation of wanting to have a more fine-tuned system but having too steep of a learning curve?
