Hello! I'm a newbie to Hackintoshes and all that is dual booting so I came here for some help. I've been googling and reading guides to learn and get my answers to my questions, but some have been un-answered either because of incompetent googling or simply that there have not been any answers to the problem. Not all of my problems are 100% related to hackintosh but everything is something I would have to do if I wanted to build the hackintosh So here is a some things I am wondering about:
How do I make a image of my drive (not 100% sure this is what it is called. Something that makes a exact replica of my drive that i can then just restore from so that everything runs as before, OS and programs aswell)
I have a 1 TB harddrive with about 300 GB used for windowds stuff. Can I simply partition, say, 500 GB and install Hackintosh on that partition without anything happening to the rest of the hard drive/data/OS?
If I make a clean install of windows, what is the easiest way to restore my settings/preferences/as much as possible without being a exact replica of my old drive?
The reason to many of my questions are that I am a person who has a lot of specific settings/preferences. The biggest one being that I have moved my program files (both), users and program data off of my C (SSD) and onto my D (HDD) other things are my browser etc.
All help is appriciated :) Thank you in advance!

Ps. My friend has the same build as me and he got a Hackintosh to work on it without any bigger problems
