Hi Guys. I've been pouring over forums for days trying to figure this out.. Could someone explain to me how to install kext files and perhaps even how to install the needed Realtek ALC892 audio kext that I need to essentially complete my build?
I've got everything working aside from the standard onboard audio ports (mic+headphone in the front, 5+mic in the back) and when I tried to install VoodooHDA I got static, restored my computer to undo the installation, wound up screwing up my internet setting, and (since I'm a complete noob) decided to just format reinstall and start the whole process over again.
I've seen many instructional documents posted by the infamous Toleda on several forums. While everyone in the comments is lauding him for his help, I sit there feeling stupid because I have no idea what to do!
Here is my build:
OS X Yosemite
GA-h97m-d3h
i5-4690k
gtx 650
8gb crucial ram
256gb crucial SSD
Any advice you guys might have is greatly appreciated!
