So, I'm looking into building a Hackintosh later this year, but I have a couple of questions about running OSX and dual booting over just Windows.

I do video, image, and audio editing, and well as normal art, which I've heard OS X is better for (Albeit, I've never seen these claims backed up), but I also do a lot of gaming and live streaming/recording said games.

I really love the OS X UI and design, but since most games don't work on it, I was torn between running it and windows on two SSDs for dual booting or just buying windows 8.1 and using it.

So, the first question: Does it really make any difference for media editing and whatnot?

Secondly, how would I go about installing OS X onto the PC without having another Mac available? I know you can run a Virtual machine, but say I wanted to use bootcamp to run windows.

Wouldn't I have to install windows, setup the VM and get the OS off of it, and then uninstall Windows and install OS X? Or could i install OS X and then add the Windows install to Bootcamp afterwards without issues?

And the final question: How hard is upgrading components and drivers later? I've been debating starting with 8GB of RAM and then moving up to 16GB later, but I wasn't sure how drivers would work. Would I just update them in Windows then configure my Hackintosh to work with them, since the GTX 960 (Which isn't out yet, but will be when I build) probably won't have OS X drivers for it standard?

Anyway, enough rambling, that's all I've got.
