So, hello. This is my first post to this subreddit.

As I said in the title, I screwed up. First, I tried to update by the Unibeast/Multibeast combo, after which I got an error involving mach_kernel. I then (I think) fixed it with some method that I don't remember, however, I got another error after that. This one involved GeforceSensors. So I booted in -x mode and deleted HWMonitors. Fixed it. After which I got a bluetooth error.

Instead of googling the error, I tried to fix it on my own. By deleting all kexts. I realize this was not one of my best decisions. I tried to reinstall OSX using Unibeast multiple times, which did not work.

I then tried a different bootloader, Chameleon, from insanelymac.com by following this post (in -x mode). On the step where I patch my USB for booting (step 2.2), I didn't change the destination and ended up installing to my main HDD. I think this is a problem, it may not be.

So I have this bootable, Chameleon USB now. I plug it into my system, take out all non needed parts (GPU, Wifi, even mouse) and it loads. Hooray! I see the light! There is a page in front of me, white letters on black text, saying something about Chameleon. I press enter when my selection is my USB (I also tried my HDD). Both lead to a short scrolling of text (too fast to read) and promptly goes back to previous bootloader screen. This is where Google fails me.

This is important. When I boot from my HDD (that I've done so many installs on that it probably as STDs) in -x mode, it succeeds. In getting past initial startup. After that, -v pulls up this (last 3 lines):

*SAFE BOOT DETECTED- only valid OSBundleRequired kexts will be loaded. *"name" not a kext *"Kernel-_SYMTAB" not a kext

The wording leads me to believe it was the accidental Chameleon install on this HDD.

The BIOS settings that I think matter: *Intel Virtualization Technology: Disabled *VT-d: Disabled *SATA mode: AHCI *Legacy USB Support: Enabled

System Specs:

*Intel i5-3470 Ivy Bridge *Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard *Corsair CX 500 PSU *TP-Link TL-WDN4800 *16 GB (8GB*2) RAM *ASUS GTX 760 2GB *Seagate Blue 500GB
