I successfully compiled and booted from a DSDT file on my Dell T3500 running OSX 10.10. I used AIDA in Windows to pull the native DSDT and DSDTEditor on the mac side to compile it and fix errors.
My ultimate goal is to take full advantage of the power management and enable sleep properly - right now sleep works, but it takes 4 minutes to come back after putting the system to sleep. This is the "last thing" on the list.
Using chameleon I was able to simply put my new DSDT.aml file in /Extra/ and boot fine without any errors. I now want to enable native power management. I have NullCPUPowerManagement.kext installed right now from Multibeast which from my understanding is preventing Apple's intel power management from working.
What else do I need to do? Can I just delete the kext? Do I need to check "Generate C and P states" in chameleon?
My specs:
Dell t3500
- x5650 2.67ghz 6 core xeon
- AMD 7950
- 9KPNV dell mobo
Speedstep is available in the bios.
Any help is appreciated.
