4790k Ga z87x ud5h Gtx 760 Corsair h100i Corsair run 650
So today I installed an h100i after having temps with the stock cooler shoot up to 200+f when rendering. My computer never froze or shut off and when it got that hot I usually cancelled render asap. My idle temp was around 105f...
I installed the h100i (exhaust) and I immediately noticed that my idle temps were waaaaay lower 80-90f. So I decided to try a simple render in c4d. It stayed much cooler, but would jump up to the 190s then would fall, but then at the end of the render, the computer froze, I would have to restart. This happened twice. I then tried a benchmark test from geek bench, the temp would shoot up to 190 and then immediately drop.....
I tried a different c4d project after this and it got hot but not as hot as it was but this time it didn't freeze..... That's weird right?
