I've built one hackintosh before and it never lived up to what I wanted it to be, so I just kept my Windows partition on it. Between that time and now I started working on a home studio with a close friend who owns a mac mini. For awhile now it's worked perfectly fine for us but as we start to branch out and expand, we want something beefier.
Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/matthewpulpfree/saved/qkvscf
The main thing I'm worried about is the firewire card, I tried in the past to look up firewire cards that will work with a hackintosh system but haven't found one that works 100% (or at least anyone who's used one that can say that it works perfectly). So I'm just hoping someone out there who can tell me if the card I have picked out with work...or if I should just get the thunderbolt card and get a firewire to thunderbolt adapter?
