Hey all, working on a christmas gift to myself and want your opinion. Like the title says, looking to build a hackintosh with the most intense programs i'll run being ableton and adobe. other uses are pretty standard: streaming, browsing, maybe a little gaming but nothing crazy.
I know that ableton is available on windows, but honestly I've never liked it and I've been in love with my mac for the last 6 years (but sadly now it can't run ableton without overheating).
What are your experiences with hackintosh and ableton? any horror stories, hardware I should be wary of, suggestions for hardware, just trying to get a feel for it before I dive in and build.
budget is $500-$600 right now. have a monitor, keyboard, mouse. working on a build in pc parts picker, I'll post it on here soon.
