TL;DR - My hack kernel panics unless I first 1) boot into safe mode (-x) then 2) restart that safemode session and boot normally. I have to repeat this process every time I shut down my computer.

Specs:

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI

CPU - i5-3570K

GPU - AMD R9 290X

Bootloader - Clover Other Dual boot w/ Windows 8.1

Details See above tl;dr. It's worth noting that

  • I think this is the key portion of my kernel panic, but couldn't figure out what it means:

    panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff800041e80a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff800085c950, type 14=page fault, registers:

  • I'm using a technically-unsupported AMD GPU by some fancy kext injection on boot. The tutorial I used to make this happen is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjV4p0fGdEc

  • A pastebin to the entire kp is here: http://pastebin.com/0j6GmGu3

  • A screenshot of my kp is here: http://imgur.com/aHTHn8H

Thoughts? I'm banging my head against a wall...though the build technically works, it's a huge pain to spend time first booting into safe mode, then having to restart...
