So I have been out of the Hackintosh game for a while - the last machines I had working with 10.7.2 were a Dell Precision T7500 (Dual Xeon X5472, 32GB, GTS450) and a Dell Latitude D630 (Core 2 Duo, 8GB, NVS135m)
I have been using an AMD system the last few years, so didn't bother looking into it. I now have a Precision T3500 Workstation - Xeon W3690 CPU 24GB DDR3 250GB Samsung 840 Evo (Windows 8.1 and Linux Mint 17.1 Dual Boot) LSI 9361-8i RAID Controller w/4x Samsung 840 Evo 250GB in RAID 0 Sapphire R9 270x 4GB
Grabbed a Samsung 830 256GB and have installed iATKOS M and everything seems to be working great. Only real issue is that the GPU gets picked up as a 7xxx series card.
I wouldn't mind starting again using Unibeast or something like that so I can run Yosemite.
Does Yosemite pick up R9 series cards fine? Or would it still show as a 7xxx series card?
I also have a Dell Latitude E5410 laptop with an i5 560m cpu and Intel HD Graphics - would HD Graphics chip be supported? I know the later ones are, but I remember the last time I looked into Intel Graphics, support was pretty poor.
