So I know I could just stick with Windows but I may be going to a university which is 100% Mac based (London's Kingston University) and using the same OS on everything would be easier to do.
I'll be doing film production so I'll need a pretty beefy Mac to last me the three years I'll be there which would cost me around £1k for what I need... Oooor I can buy an Intel board + CPU + upgrade ram to 32GB and have £700 left over for beer.
I've already installed OSX on the AMD but Adobe anything didn't work, updating was a bitch and there's literally 0 support for anything so Intel would be better for me.
So what do you guys suggest? Would £700 in beer money be worth it over an actual Mac?
