I am trying to dual boot on two seperate hard drives. Right now I have Windows 8.1 on my 120 GB SSD and my 500GB HDD is currently and is going to be partly used for Mac OSX.

I have a copy of Yosemite ready to go on a USB.

I've read the FAQ for how to install on two separate hard drives but I'm still a little confused. Is it simple as setting my USB to my primary boot device and installing it like any other OS? Everything I read is making it seem like I need a Mac or existing Hackintosh to even start?
