Hey all,
So, I finally built my Hackintosh. Before I get into the problem, let me quickly summarize the hardware situation.
-Z77MX QUO-AOS motherboard (this is the mobo that lets you run OS X with no kernel modifications, and indeed, it's working quite well)
-Intel i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4 GHz CPU
-EVGA 660 GTX Superclocked 3GB
-16 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws PC3-12800 1600 MHz RAM
-Broadcom BCM94360CD WiFi/BT (OEM part from new Mac Pro)
-1TB WD Black
Okay. So basically, when I finished building, I first installed Win7, because I knew it would run - since this is after all a PC. With all my hardware working and validated, I flashed the QUO custom bios (the magical key to run OS X without mucking with the Kernel.) That's worked well and I'm now running OS X, however my Windows partition has disappeared from the selector in the EFI boot menu. I can see it as a partition in OS X, and I can browse it, and it's not corrupt. I suspect that somehow when I re-flashed the firmware the part in the MBR (yes, it is MBR, OS X is too) that points to Windows got erased. Any thoughts on how I can restore my ability to boot to windows?
Thanks!
