GUIDE TESTED ON MSI Z97 PC MATE, NVIDIA GAINWARD PHANTOM GTX 970 AND INTEL i5 4460 (non k)
Scroll down for additionall steb by step guide on how to install Yosemite Zone 10.10.1 on PC like this
** I CANNOT STRESS THIS PART ENOUGH - HDMI PORTS DO NOT WORK ON HACKINTOSHES!!! SO IF YOU ARE USING A HDMI PORT ON YOUR GRAPHICS CARD - ALL YOU WILL SEE IS BLACK SCREEN ANYWAY, SO PREPARE TO BUY A DVI CABLE / DVI to VGA adapter and then VGA CABLE OR ELSE IT WILL CERTAINLY NOT WORK!!! **- AGAIN HDMI PORTS ON GRAPHICS CARDS DO NOT WORK, EVEN Display Ports, do not work, only with drivers from Nvidia installed after the Hackintoshs starts - > WITH VIDEO OUTPUT RUNNING THROUGH DVI OR(!) VGA PORT ON YOUR GRAPHICS CARD <
ALSO - YOU MUST HAVE AN MBR PARTITION DISK-not GBT(if you have windows 7 or lower - you ONLY have MBR, because windows 7 doesnt support GBT)(you can change this- you don´t have to buy new one, just google how to change to MBR), so on Laptops like Lenovo, this guide might not work - you will have to wipe out your hdd completely, join the paritions and set it to MBR
So if you have been trying to boot up your newly installed hackintosh with no success - although you have successfully set the needed settings that are needed to install it in the bios (by the way if you are able to install it with those bios settings, then they are the correct ones and the bootup problem is not in your bios settings but in osx, which we are going to fix now) then might be for you
SIMPLY WRITE THIS BEFORE YOU PRESS ENTER TO BOOT INTO YOUR HACKINTOSH - (OSX YOSEMITE ZONE)
Just write the bootlfag:** -s** (press enter after writing each command) which should boot you into single user mode - you should see some text rolling in, once it stops write this (one command at a time then press enter): **fsck -fy
mount -uw /** (press enter after writing each command) After that, just write : grafix backup all (and press enter again) then write: reboot
and the hackintosh should restart -it will have crappy resolution and bad lags, but don´t get disapointed, because that´s what we are trying to fix now - so open up this guid by going into Safari on your mac - and open up this thread again and download these drivers only : http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/80893/en-us (IF YOU UPDATE THEM, YOU NEED TO THE THE ABOVE STEPS AGAIN,OR YOU WILL NOT BOOT AGAIN)
Because the stuck on [IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed is actually not a Bluetooth controller error, but a graphics problem, however the hackintosh simply spits out the code and doesn´t leave the error why it doesn´t boot on the last line. The problem was actually in the line before the last line, which was DSMOS has arrived *from : http://hackintosh.zone/page/hackintosh/articles/fix-dsmos-has-arrived-and-waiting-for-dsmos-problem-hackintosh/ *
With that being said - your hackintosh boot up problem should now be pretty much fixed, however if you have a problem with the Maps app - not showing any maps - just blank (very likely) then you also need to follow these steps: 1. Open up finder 2. Get into System\Library\Extensions *you can get there by searching for : * AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext
**and switching the VIEW (where coverflow option is) to an option-that shows you in what folder you are - so simply go back a folder (because the .kexts above are in Intel folder) - and you should see 3 folders - Nvidia(or Nvda), then ATI and INTEL.
Delete ATI graphics card and INTEL integrated graphics driver (or move them to the desktop - by selecting the folder DRAGING IT ONTO DESKTOP (but not releasing the mouse button yet) , when the folder is dragged on the desktop, press START BUTTON and unclick mouse button) I would rather keep the drivers there, instead of deleting them (or just put them into your documents folder), because when you remove your graphics card, before its removal, you can just put the intel drivers back in, reboot (without graphics card), delete nvidia drivers, and keep only intel...
ADDITIONAL STEP BY STEP GUIDE **First of all, if you have have downloaded just some random Yosemite Zone torrent, it´s time to download another - this time not your likely 10.10, but an updated 10.10.1 version of OSX Mavericks
You can do so from arcticle here - http://hackintosh.zone/hackintosh-downloads/file/560-hackintosh-os-x-yosemite-zone-10101/**
(the download button appears after a few secondss so dont be surprised when you don´t see it) - it then redirects you to this page http://hackintosh.zone/hackintosh-downloads/download/560-hackintosh-os-x-yosemite-zone-10101/
where the latest Yosemite Zone hackintosh .dmg and .iso file torrent should be(now 10.10.1) YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE .dmg TORRENT BECAUSE THE .iso IS FOR VIRTUAL MACHINES FOR WINDOWS, not for creating hackintosh, so download the .dmg torrent
Then you should also download the 2.2mb TransMac for windows, unzip and install it.
**Now its time to start preparing your USB - which can take up to an hour(formating up to 30mins, and putting the Hackintosh on it another 30), so while the torrent is downloading, you should plug your usb in and start TransMac. (ignore the license and just select free/run/register later...)
Rightclick your USB (be carefull not to format your external HDD or other HDD) and select Format Disk for Mac**
After your torrent finishes downloading Now you right click your prepared usb, select Restore with disk image, click yes and select your DOWNLOADED .dmg TORRENT(5gb). The process should take some time,so be patient.(it will say formating, but it is actually writing the .dmg file on it)
///// Now it´s time to partition your HDD/SSD. If you have an SSD you will (very likely): not be able to shrink the size of your current partition by more than 5%, so in order to shrink and partition your HDD use a program like GParted or Easeus partition master. Partitioning your hdd with these programs might take up to an hour or more (about 15 mins. on SSD) or you can try your luck and try to partition your HDD/ssd using this guide (for example): http://www.wikihow.com/Partition-Your-Hard-Drive-in-Windows-7 and be sure to make the parition for the OSX minimum 15GB(15 000mb), they say minimum is 10gb, but i think 15 is miniumum, they recommend 50gb, i recommend **20gb, because after install the size is around 11gb, so you have enough space. /////
After the process is done, its time to forget about windows and start reading this guide from your mobile phone/another device because what are going to do now absolutely doesn´t need windows.
(be sure to have properly set your bios (you boot into it by holding DELETE on startup)- the most crucial settings are in the OC section of your MSI Bios-where you scroll down and select CPU Features(or something like that) and If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it. (these(bottom) are in the advanced bios settings, now in OC settings) Set USB drive to the highest boot priority (just drag your usb key to the most left side) If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it. If your system has OS Type, set it to Other OS. (dissable any windows 8 options) You also want to look for SATA SETTINGS and in one of the first ones there should be an option for something and AHCI, make sure it says AHCI and not something else.* Then go advanced again and select exit saving changes.
Now your usb should boot (if not you- if you see a apple logo flash, try following this guide (i got the bios settings from there : http://www.macbreaker.com/2014/11/how-to-install-os-x-yosemite-on-your-pc-with-yosemite-zone.html and tripple check your bios settings (especially the VT-D or VT-X dissabled)MAKE SURE YOU quit SAVING changes each time!)
Leave english language selected and press the arrow to continue, the accept the thing, and before you have Red Apple, you should now stop, and in the Top of the screen, click Utilities>Disk Utility> Select your partition (pay attention to the size) Write its name with (I preffer) - ONE WORD ONLY - it will help you not get errors. - For example change its name to "Osix" - you will have an option to do so, after you click(although it is blank) on the option that says Windows .-something something(ntfs)-. YOU NEED TO SELECT format to "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" then click erase(should take about a minute)
Then you can exit disk utility(by clicking on disk utility on top of the screen and quit or something like that) And you should again see the red apple and another thing on the right, select that (click it or press right arrow and enter)
Then you need to also change some settings here, where you have options to install stuff- just click arrow to extend that thing - and be sure to select (in Graphics drivers) - use default nvidia or something You can also install the OSX fixes that fix the endless waiting thing, or simply install anything that you think is good-because nothing can really go wrong here-you can leave the laptop PS2/trackpad/mouse option checked but don´t install too much stuff, just the necessities...(which you think is correct-you are correct because this part is pretty logical)
Then proceed with install after it reboots (if it tries to boot you into a similar environment like you were first time when you insterted the usb - remove the usb and restart pc, now you can choose "Osix"(or whatever name you gave it, when you erased the disk. But before you press enter write this (as in the beggining of the post): write the bootlfag:** -s** (press enter after writing each command) which should boot you into single user mode - you should see some text rolling in, once it stops write this (one command at a time then press enter): **fsck -fy
mount -uw /** (press enter after writing each command) After that, just write : grafix backup all (and press enter again) then write: reboot
and the hackintosh should restart -it will have crappy resolution and bad lags, but don´t get disapointed, because that´s what we are trying to fix now - so open up this guid by going into Safari on your mac - and open up this thread again and download these drivers only : http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/80893/en-us (IF YOU UPDATE THEM, YOU NEED TO THE THE ABOVE STEPS AGAIN,OR YOU WILL NOT BOOT AGAIN)
Then if you want - you can download MultiBeast from somewhere and install stuff you might need (nothing really) - i have not been able to fix the audio static sound(my problem) so i don´t know about that...
