Long story short - will this work and any suggestions for changes?

TypeItemPrice NZDNotes
CPU Intel Core i7-4790K 4Ghz£250i7s have served me well and 4Ghz is no joke. With the drastic increase in CPU power I expect to be saving lots of little bits of time in lots of my workflow.
CPU Cooler CM Hyper 212£25For security of mind and for a quieter desk, the cost is so negligible that I am just going to shrug and buy this well reviewed unit.
Graphics NVIDIA GTX 980£4002x 970s would be nice, but some people have reported problems using SLI in a Hackintosh and so I am choosing to avoid it. Any thoughts?
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 TH£200Going to be filling up every SATA port I think. Erk.
RAM Crucial 2x 8Gb DDR3£100I have Photoshop files that often hit 2-3 Gigabytes in size, the additional RAM feels like a worthy investment. I considered going for DDR4, but not sure if it's supported with my CPU.
Storage 256Gb Crucial SSD£110Ok. 2x 128Gb drives or 1x 256Gb drive? Tricky. Already going to be hitting my limits of SATA ports easily enough, but I kinda want the peace of mind 2x would give me.
Storage 4x VariousN/AI have a serious hodgepodge of old HDDs. I'm going to plug in 4 of them to available slots and have a wonderfully confusing array of HDDs totalling about 7Tb of Space. I somehow doubt it'll be enough.
Power Supply Antec TPC 550W£60Thanks to /r/buildapc for a better PSU suggestion.
Case Fractal Define R5 Black Pearl£80Simple. Minimal. My room is a gorgeous shade of white, so I cannot buy a white case as they would never match in a million years.
Keyboard KBT Pure ProN/AI love this Keyboard to bits and you won't change my mind on this gorgeous little thing.
Mouse Razer DeathadderN/AThis mouse, on the other hand, is a dark horse and we may be parting ways. The feet have come off and I'm now using a teflon tape which I have ended up supergluing to the bottom of the mouse. I am… displeased with Razer's shoddy support for a non-US customer. Probably going to end up buying a new one at some point.
