I followed this guide exactly

BUT I also had to do some extra things:

  1. On your UEFI (hold DEL), set primary graphics adapter to be PCIExpress rather than Onboard which the guide says so

  2. Along with the settings that the guide uses, in Multibeast also enable System > Patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement > OS X 10.9.0

  3. To get sound to properly work, download an older version of Multibeast - version 6.1. Then install Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Without DSDT > ALC898

Just replicated those things with a fresh install and my system is working. I also use Time Machine with good success. I highly recommend Time Machine because you're probably gonna have to do a fresh reinstall if it's your first time (the install can be very brutal).

If you ever have a kernel panic, plug in your USB drive, and boot your OS from there with '-f' flag. Then do whatever multibeast stuff you have to do.
