I recently purchased a new PC, and since I am a film student, I need to be well versed in both PC and Mac OS X OSes. Specs are as follows:
Product | Total Price |
---|---|
Thermaltake Chaser A31 Black Mid-Tower Case | $99.00 |
Aerocool Touch R Fan Controller with USB 3.0/Card Reader - Black | $59.00 |
Intel Core i5 4690K Quad Core LGA 1150 3.5GHz Unlocked CPU Processor | $288.99 |
Cooler Master Seidon 120XL Liquid Cooling Solution | $109.00 |
ASRock Z97 Pro4 Intel LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard | $139.00 |
Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1600MHz Memory | $189.00 |
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Windforce OverClocked 4GB Video Card | $479.00 |
Cooler Master Vanguard 750W 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply | $139.00 |
WD WD10EZEX 1TB Blue 3.5 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive | $65.99 |
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5"" SATA III SSD MZ-7TE120BW | $89.00 |
ASUS DRW-24D3ST 24x Internal OEM DVD Burner Drive | $19.99 |
TP-LINK TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter | $18.00 |
However:
I will be adding an 80GB HDD for Mac OS X to reside on. All Mac programs and stuff will be on a partition of the 1TB HDD. Is this possible?
I have a multi monitor setup: 2 displays on the GTX 970 (1x 1920x1080, 1x 1680x1050) and 1 on the Intel HD Graphics (1x 1440x900). Would all monitors still function like normal under Windows 8.1? I use DisplayFusion to help me get all of them working properly.
I have a PS/2 keyboard, will this work with OS/X, or will I need kexts for it to work? It does have a USB adapter.
I wish to keep Windows 8.1 on the SSD, as it is now. Will it be affected by OS X? Will the bootloader still see the SSD?
Thanks for the help!
