I dont have an USB stick atm, so I was thinking about this. I have an working Mac in a virtual machine. I would create a virtual USB stick for the VM, put the installer into it, assign a physical empty harddisk from my computer to the VM, then boot the installer off the virtual usb on the vm, and then install it on the real disk that was assigned to the vm.

So no real reboots or usb sticks would be needed this way. :o
