Hi guys,

I've been researching building a new machine for a couple days, and just now am realizing it is totally feasible to make it Hackintosh-compatible.

GPU selection is giving me a bit of pause, however, because my current goal was to shoot for the Nvidia GTX 970, but I've seen a lot of people encourage others looking at the same GPU to hold out a few months for the AMD 300 series -- citing the promise of the 300 series and also the memory issues related to the 970.

My timeline for building is probably 2-4 months, so waiting for the 300 series seems like a reasonable thing to do -- my only question is, how likely do you think it is that the AMD 300 series will be Hackintosh compatible?

I know it's impossible to know this for sure given that there are little-to-no official hardware specs, but I guess what I'm asking is, how hard are current generation AMD RX 200 series GPU's to get working with Hackintosh, and how long after their release did it take for them to become supported and/or stable? Do you have any reason to believe the trajectory with current gen AMD GPU's will be similar to trajectory of next-gen AMD GPU's? If it would be quite risky Hackintosh-wise to spring for an AMD 300 card, then I'd probably rather pick up a 970 instead and just ensure compatibility.

Any insight would be very helpful for me, as I am very new to this community!

PS This my current build plan. I know we're not supposed to make "Will my build work?" threads any longer and that's truly not the intention of this post, but if you have a burning desire to tell me if I screwed up the build in any way that I didn't catch, I'd be grateful ;) (Many of the parts selected specifically from http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-january-2015.html )
