I've got a new EVGA GTX 970 to install into my system that's been running processor graphics. Running Yosemite 10.10.1 - latest NVDIA alternate drivers for 10.10.1 are installed, but a check of the About This Mac->System Report->Graphics/Display shows "No kext loaded." While it acknowledges there's an NVDIA GPU there, it thinks it's only 3mb of video memory, and has no clue what kind of card it is. When I boot using the card, I only get 1024x768 and EXTREMELY slow frame rate. The mouse lags across the screen.

I've followed the instructions on this - including adding the kernel flags nvda_drv=1. I'm pretty frustrated and confused by this one. Please someone tell me what I'm doing wrong! It acts as if it's not seeing the drivers for some reason.

Thanks for the help!
