I have the R9 280 3GB card (dev id 0x679a1002) is recognised by the system after I installed Clover on the EFI partition and moved relevant kextx to the 10.10 kext folder on the EFI partition. The resolutions sets to 1920x1080 but the VRAM is recognized as 7MB as opposed to the actual 3GB and the graphics is choppy.
I thought that this card was compatible OOB since Mavericks
