Hi, in a few days I'd like to try my hands at building a Hackintosh. I have absolutely no previous experience.
I already have an i7 4770 CPU, and my biggest concern is finding a suitable, rather easier to work-with motherboard. I will start out with 16GB of RAM, but eventually will want to upgrade to 32GB, so I need 4 slots. I'd also like at least 6 sata ports for future possibilities. I have two Dell displays which I want to connect, they have DP, DVI (dual displays is a must for me, potential for triple is even better).
I want to skip a GPU if it's possible, and just use the integrated HD4600.
So this is the build I have in mind:
- Intel i7 4770
- GIGABYTE H97M-D3H
- Samsung 250GB 850 EVO
- Some 2TB HDD, no specific one yet, probably WD Red
- Would like to setup Yosemite
Given my needs, would you say this build is ok? Any other MB recommendations?
Thank you in advance!
