I was looking for a network card that "just works" with Yosemite for a while now. I finally found one. Its called the Rosewill RC-401-EX.

The card looks to be discontinued but I was able to buy one from eBay for $20 shipped. It is driverless for Windows too, so if you ever reinstall windows your ethernet should work without the need of drivers.
It is based on the Marvell Yukon 88E8053 chipset so theoretically any card with that chipset would be able to work just as this one, but I cannot guarantee that.
