I am trying to make my hackintosh closest to all native as it can be. I already have native audio using the USB Behringer UCA202, native 802.11AC + bluetooth 4.0 with the BCM94360CD , and native graphics with the GTX 770 4GB. I even have all of this in a Mac Pro 2008 case. The only kexts that I have added for it to work properly is FakeSMC, and the RealtekRTL8111 for the NIC. As you can see it is almost perfect. I really want to eliminate the need for that ethernet kext, so after a instal I can just add FakeSMC.

Now I need help finding a card that works out of box. After some reading I found this.

http://www.amazon.com/Protronix-Gigabit-Ethernet-Profile-Controller/dp/B008UG5588/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

It claims to have support for Mac OS X and it is using the Realtek RTL8169SC chipset. It also is using standard PCI which I need because my two PCI-E slots are being used by AirPort card and Graphics card. If you have something that works better let me know even if it is PCI-E.

So would this card work just fine with:

  • OS X 10.10 Yosemite

  • Clover Boot Loader

  • i7 4790k

  • Z87M-D3H

  • GTX 770 4GB
