This build is based on one here. Is all the hardware workable for OS X and ubuntu? The system would be powering (hopefully) an ultra wide 1440p monitor like the new LG or dell curved models. I was also concerned about the case not having a handle, portability-wise. (~30 pounds seems alright for lugging around, right?)


Another alternative is an eGPU setup. I figure I'll buy the overlapping parts for both builds and see which one becomes more plausible as I go?
