After success with my Mavericks installation I decided to give Yosemite on my FX-6300 a go. This was a little easier than expected, seeing that I'm using Niresh's Distro and burning straight to USB via TransMac. No disk utility required, no need to replace any kernels. Niresh has made it easier for all AMD users and just lets us boot with a proper AMD kernel into the installation "/amd or /amd64" After that no need to copy and replace the kernel, the installer with use the kernel that we booted with (Which is the "/amd" kernel.)
