So here is my setup that has, for the most part, worked for about half a year.

My machine:

  • OSX 10.9.5

  • ga-z87x-oc

  • 4.19 ghz intel core i7

  • 16 gb 1600 mhz ddr3

  • NVIDIA chip model 2048 mb

  • Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500gb

However, I am running into two issues. The machine does not connect to the internet despite there being a valid ethernet connection, and (more importantly and maybe related) it will not accept connection to my macbook for a MIDI network.

Any of you out there know what's up with that and know a solution??

Solutions I'm considering

  • getting a dedicated NIC with ethernet that is supported (currently just using the lan on my mobo)

Anyone have a suggestion for one I could look into

  • getting a supported wireless card (tp-link tlwdn4800). The concern I'm having with this solution is the reliability of a wireless connection to send a midi clock sync

Anyway, hackintoshes are cool and any help would be awesome Cheers
