I just wanted to confirm that this works with my Hackintosh. I first had to install Parallels and install Windows 8 . From within Parallels I ran the guide I saw create a live Windows 8 boot drive.

I was worried the BIOS would not apply seeing how I could not set the fan curve in windows when I rebooted. But regardless, it still worked. The computer rebooted, and the fan dropped to zero once the OSX login loaded. I ran a stress test and the fans did kick up a tiny bit, so they do turn on when needed.
