I've built many machines from components in the past couple of decades, and I'm kind of over it. I would much prefer to buy a high quality prebuilt system and constrain the amount of fiddling I need to do to the software layer.
Perhaps because of the DIY spirit of hackintoshing in general, I haven't found any good references for what prebuilt machines from reputable companies are or aren't smoothly compatible with the current state of the hackintosh art. If anyone has any recommendations either for systems, or places I can find documentation of this, I'd be very grateful.
I have a moderate preference for xeon/ecc, but could live with a 6+ core i7 if necessary. At least four dimm slots and a plethora of pcie slots (which are the reasons I'm not just buying a Tube). I do not care at all about the looks or size of the machine, and am not particularly concerned about price.
Any pointers much appreciated. Thanks!
