I successfully built my hackintosh and I love it so far! Everything is working - sound, WiFi, and all that. I only have a problem with one of my hard drives.
I have an SSD that has the Mac OS and 3 other internal drives. Those internal drives are all NTFS formatted. Two of them are working great (using Tuxera NTFS for write support), however, one is working fine after a reboot, and then after some time I am unable to access it.
Not only am I unable to access it, but I can't even open Disk Utility (freezes), the diskutil info <disk name> also freezes (when it tries to grab partition data). Finder is still showing mounted volume, however, clicking on it simply does nothing.
The drive works fine under Windows (I dual boot) and I ran CHKDSK from Windows several times and it never found any errors.
The drive in question is Samsung ST1000DM005 HD103SJ, as reported by diskutil.
Has anyone encountered something similar like this? What are my options? I was thinking of just moving the stuff to a different drive and then reformat it as HFS+, but then I won't be able to access it from Windows or Linux (is there a way?).
Thanks!
