I have been at this for two days now, but I cannot for the life of me get Yosemite to properly work on my hardware... I would like to know if my PC is incompatible or not in the first place. I managed to install Yosemite through a Niresh distro, and it loaded fine. But it clearly did not use my GPU due to the low resolution and extreme image tearing. My wireless network didn't work either.

Here's my PC's specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 270 Mono: N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix) GPU: ATI Radeon R7 240 4GB RAM: 8GB

Actually, here's a link containing more details. The only thing different than what's in the link is my RAM and GPU. But you can look there for more information on my CPU and Motherboard.

So is my PC setup compatible in ANY way with Yosemite? As I said, I was able to install it via Niresh, and everything but my Network and GPU worked properly. The resolution was very low (1024x768), and there were several accounts where the PC stalled when I opened launchpad. Enormous amounts of image tearing was also present. Clearly my GPU isn't being used the way it should.

Come to think of it, I didn't test audio, so that may have been inoperable too. I currently uninstalled it and reinstalled Windows 7 temporarily until I could find a working solution. I also have a MacBook Pro available for usage with El Capitan installed, so I do have access to a Mac.

I would appreciate any help on this issue.
