Hi. Last time I built a hackintosh was 10.4 ha, a bit outdated.

Anyway,

I have this system

Intel Core i5 2400

P8H61-M LE/CSM (Intel H61, audio died so I don't care, I know networking works)

8GB ram

Nvidia GTX960

It will be in it's own hard drive.

Anyway. My plan is to remove the GTX960, install everything without it first, using the DVI port of the motherboard.

After that, install the nvidia drivers and the video card.

My screen is connected with displayport (Dell Ultrasharp), does that work right now with the nvidia drivers?

Also, do I have to remove the video card during install or somehow I can get it to work with it in the system?

In regards of getting the OS copy, I'm planning on using my GF's laptop and make my account, login with my apple account, buy Mountain Lion, and I GUESS, that enables me to download El Capitan. Is there any fault in this plan?

Thanks!
