Bolstered by my recent success with non-UEFI old hardware, I am considering reinstalling Mac OS X (Yosemite or El Capitan) on my HP Pavilion 15-p011tx. It is a Haswell 4510u CPU, with Intel HD 4400 Graphics of course... I will miss my GeForce 840m, but if I am successful I will consider dual-booting because 750GB is plenty for a dual-boot.
PS. I need to use MacBookAir5,x for SMBIOS to get BCM943224HMS WiFi working OOTB... otherwise I need to hex-edit whitelists in kexts if selecting other models...
