So I got El Capitan working with a faulty 2GB ram module, from a local brand.
After an arduous time trying to figure out what was my problem, as described in this thread: http://ift.tt/29lj35I
I got it working with both ethernet and audio. Needless to say, my VGA is working fine, too. Haven't tested WiFi since I don't have any wifi adapter.
