I've built some rigs in the past, but this was a personal goal: build a nice MacPro for under 900 dollars, so slowly I checked slickdeals and added parts. CPU was purchased at microcenter in NJ by my father, 169.99 +3% tax, much cheaper than online or anywhere in CA. Case was $40 after rebate via tigerdirect free ship, rebate came in the mail two days ago. XFX graphics card was 179.99 from tiger direct after rebate if i recall correctly. I think I was able to reach my goal.
I just need to install OSX mavericks/yosemite beta which I will do after work today, i still have yet to power it up since i just finished building it together last night at 1 am.
