Well it took many hours, and the answer to all of my problems was on reddit. Installed Niresh's 10.9 Distro in under an hour once I had the right boot flags. The Gigabyte Windforce OC 560 works OOB with FULL GPU support. The onboard LAN did not work with the Crosshair IV formula, but I did happen to have a realtek laying around.
It is getting better for us AMD users!
